We’re so proud to see this SC Workplace featured in Interior Design Magazine! This one-of-a-kind tenant improvement translates the client’s value for ‘connection’ and ‘egalitarian premises’ into a physical reality through a number of structural design solutions. And we couldn’t be more thrilled to see the results! A major intention of the design was to open up the office space and minimize structural elements. Specifically in the stairways, we looked to lessen vertical supports, utilizing horizontal trusses and vertical steel plates to engineer these hairpin turn stairways. And the spiral stairs use vertical steel plate stringers assisting built-up, spiral, steel box stringers. In other words, it’s a giant spring!
