Mentorship

As a firm committed to the professional and personal development of its employees, JAMA culture is evident in every aspect of firm life. From ongoing educational lunch-and-learns to monthly themed happy hours to quarterly town halls, employees at all levels are encouraged to participate to share their talents and engage with others across the firm.

That thinking also extends to specialty committees that exist to tackle larger subjects and issues such as the Sustainability Committee, the Adventures and Activities Committee, and Women’s Mentorship Group, among others.

Each JAMA employee is paired with an internal mentor, offering insights, guidance, connections, and encouragement. While it’s up to the mentor-mentee to determine the frequency and style of meetings, the firm actively supports this informal relationship as a means of developing professional and technical skills, identifying and addressing skill gaps, increasing engagement, and creating a culture of continuous learning.

To enhance our team’s professional development, we offer ongoing partner-led courses that focus on practical skills. These interactive sessions cover topics such as project management and business development, providing valuable insights that go beyond traditional education.

Our dedicated Business Development Group empowers our staff to attend industry events, meet with clients, and expand our professional network, providing them with the tools and resources they need for professional and business growth.
