This open-air facility includes an ETFE canopy for a 22,000 seat major league soccer stadium, home to the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). A highly translucent material, ETFE is commonly employed in architectural projects for creating transparent roofs, canopies, and facades. This single layer, 190,000 square foot ETFE canopy was designed to cover the seating area to help reflect / minimize glare, control light transmission, and protect fans.
Located in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park, the ETFE roofing wings symbolize the “City of Angeles.”
