This new 12-story, 326,000 square foot Type I building includes terracotta and an aluminum glass curtainwall. The conservatory, located on floors 1 through 5, includes acoustically isolated teaching and performance spaces, a 200-seat performance lab, a 4,000 square foot rehearsal theater, a stage, new library facility, 20 teaching studios, 50 practice rooms, an 800 square foot terrace on the fifth floor, a 3,000 square foot art plaza, and classrooms. Floors 6 through 12 house 147 students in residential units, a student lounge, and cafeteria.
