This 3-story building has 66,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space for the Physics, Biology, Astronomy and Marine Sciences departments. To maximize efficiency and flexibility, classrooms surround a teacher preparation core that houses an automated high density storage system, walk-in coolers, and animal control rooms. Steel frame construction with an exterior board form plaster finish complements the historic circa 1939 campus context. A chemical clarifier and stainless steel fume hood venting system maintain a healthy environment.
