1970 - Ahmanson Center Completed

The Ahmanson Center, also referred to as the Wilshire Colonnade, was completed. The design of the two symmetrical, curved structures by architect Edward Durell Stone was a tribute to classical Roman architecture, completed with travertine cladding, monumental colonnades, and Carrara marble walkways.
