2013 - LAX TBIT Expansion Completed

The LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) Expansion was completed. As the first major Improvement to the terminal In 25 years, the project’s centerpiece was a 975,000 SF expansion to the existing terminal. Fentress Architect’s design, with rhythmic, sloping glass and steel roofs meant to evoke the breaking waves, utilized a first-time use of non-orthogonal moment connections in seismic regions using sloping and curved beams that are moment connected to sloping columns. The project earned LEED Gold certification and numerous awards at the local, state, and national level.
